Topside Control Repair in the Tri-Cities

A blank or flickering topside panel does not always mean a dead board. The ribbon cable, the overlay membrane, moisture under the lens and a failed pack output each produce the same symptom, and only one of them costs a new topside.

We isolate the panel from the pack, test each side, and replace only what has failed — often a cable or an overlay rather than the entire control.

Hard water, city by city

Kennewick and Pasco draw from the Columbia at roughly seven grains; Richland tests around 11.5 grains — among the hardest in the state; West Richland and Benton City run on wells that are harder still, and Finley varies lot to lot. Scale is a factor in nearly every topside control job we do, so every visit includes a look at what the water is doing.

Questions we hear

Why does moisture get under the lens in the Tri-Cities?
Freeze-thaw and sprinkler overspray both drive water past the gasket. We reseal the panel edge on every topside job.
Do you carry topside panels?
Common Balboa TP and Gecko in.k panels ride with us; brand-specific topsides are a next-business-day part.

Bay Notes

What We Tell Owners at the Cabinet

Short, practical, and written down so you do not have to remember it.

Wipe, don't press harder

Moisture under a lens causes ghost buttons; pressing harder cracks the overlay.

Ribbon before panel

A failed ribbon cable mimics a dead topside and costs a fraction as much.
